IHEC demands directors of election centers in Wasit to deliver election envelops

Wasit (IraqiNews.com) The electoral office of the Independent High Electoral Commission in Wasit province demanded the directors of the election centers to deliver the special envelops that contain the voting papers of the elections of the provincial councils.

The correspondent of IraqiNews.com reported that “Some of the political candidates confirmed that it is illegal to keep these envelopes in the possession of the election centers’ directors.”

The public elections of the provincial councils took place last Saturday in 12 Iraqi provinces with 51% participation rate, according to the IHEC.
