Urgent – Anbar Police Commander threatens of collective punishment if soldiers’ killers not handed over

Anbar, Ramadi (IraqiNews.com) The Commander of Anbar Police, Hadi Kassar, threatened from practicing a collective punishment on the protesters in the demonstration yard if the protesters refrained from delivering the killers of the five soldiers.

Kassar reported in press conference, held on Saturday noon in Anbar, attended by the correspondent of IraqiNews.com ”Baghdad satellite channel is supporting terrorism through justifying the behavior of the killers, who killed the five soldiers, thus we will practice judicial and tribal against this Channel.”

Kassar warned the protesters from the consequences of not delivering the killers of the five soldiers, saying ”There will be a collective punishment if the protesters did not deliver the killers of the five soldiers for justice,” pointing out that “The initial information report the involvement of Qaeda in killing the five soldiers.”

The Commander of the Ground Forces, Ali Ghaidan, stated that “The killing of the unarmed soldiers nearby the demonstration yards was done by terrorist groups under pretext of tribes.”

The Commanding General of Armed Forces, Premier Nouri al-Maliki, pledged to take severe measures due to killing the five Iraqi soldiers near the demonstration yard.
