IED goes off in Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) A soldier of the Iraqi Army was killed due to an Improvised Explosive Device IED explosion to the east of Mosul city.

Security source mentioned to IraqiNews.com on Monday ”The IED, which was emplaced on a roadside, exploded targeting an Iraqi Army patrol passing through Ghufran neighborhood of eastern Mosul,” noting that “The IED’s explosion resulted in killing one soldier of the Army patrol.”

“The security forces rushed to the explosion location and transported the dead body of the soldier to the morgue,” the source added.
