Hakim, Turkish Ambassador for Iraq discuss bilateral relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, discussed with the Turkish Ambassador for Iraq, the Iraqi-Turkish bilateral relations.

A statement by the SIIC reported “During his receiving for the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Yunis Dimirar, Hakim stressed the SIIC’s eagerness to invite all the political sides to work together to achieve the successes and present best services to the citizens.”

Hakim also confirmed “The SIIC’s keenness to consolidate the national unity among all the Iraqi people’s components.”

For his part, the Ambassador of Turkey extended his government’s greetings to Hakim, and congratulated him for the good results fulfilled by the SIIC in the recent provincial elections, renewing his country’s willingness to strengthening the relations with Iraq and overcome any problems facing the mutual cooperation,” according to the statement.

“The meeting extended to discuss the current events in the region,” the statement concluded.
