Hakim calls government to compensate victims of floods

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, called the government to compensate victims of areas affected by floods with full compensation, stressing that he “will maintain the principle of partnership in Iraq.”

In a speech delivered in Najaf city during a ceremony held on the occasion of Iraqi Martyr’s Day, which marks the anniversary of the martyrdom of Mohammed Baqir al-Hakim, he said “The vocabulary of the Islamic Action do not neglect the other, or marginalize him, but it emphasizes the involvement of others in order to combine efforts to achieve the desired goals,” noting that “We, in the Shaheed al-Mehrab Trend, carry the banner of involving others and embracing them, and we will defend this principle and rights of our partners even if an overgrowth of these partners on our rights.”

Hakim pointed out that “Without the partnership, we cannot build a state.”

Speaking about the regional conditions, Hakim clarified that “Today, we are exposed to great challenges not on the national level only, but also on the level of the entire region, and the political and geographical map change rapidly in the region which might cause continuous state of confusion and security instability.”

Concerning the results of the elections, al-Hakim said that “Our people have made important message for the political class in this country in terms of the rate of participation and in terms of public opinion tendencies and lists that won the votes of the Iraqi street, and we have to examine these messages correctly and translate them into practical reality In this country, we have to leave the language of political discourse to the language of the service language.”
