Water resources: Water level increases in Iraqi marshes

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Water Resources, Muhanned al-Saadi, confirmed the increase of the water level in Marshes of southern and central Iraq.Saadi mentioned in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Saturday “The reconstruction process of the Iraqi marshes reached more than 65%,” noting that “The recent wave of rains which covered the country participated in refreshing the level of water in Iraqi marshes and the quality of water in Shatt-il-Arab River.””The rate of salinity in Basra rivers has reduced from 8400 units into 1900 units per million,” he added.
