Maysan receives top security delegation

Maysan (IraqiNews.com) Maysan Governor, Ali Dawai discussed with head of the Iraqi Army Staff, Maj. Gen. Babikir Zibari, the security situation in the province and the efforts of the military divisions in relieving the affected people due to recent floods.

A statement by the Governor’s office reported that “Maysan Governor received head of the Iraqi Army Staff, Zibari and his accompanying delegation.”

The statement quoted the governor as saying “This visit comes in the framework of observing the military divisions in the province and also to meet the security administration in Maysan to discuss many issues related to the security situation,” noting “Such field visits by the security officials is useful to display all the problems and then set solutions for them through mutual work and coordination.”

The governor referred that “There is high coordination between Maysan administration and the Iraqi army which resulted in exerted great efforts in addressing the damages caused by the recent events witnessed by Maysan following the heavy rains and floods.”

“For his part, Maj. Gen. Zibari commended Maysan Governor’s efforts in terms of providing public services and his distinct cooperation with the Iraqi army divisions through the constant coordination and the follow-up between them,” the statement concluded.
