Regions Committee describes forming new province within regions as “Constitutional”

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parlaimentary Regions and Provinces Committee stated that forming a province within the regions is “Constitutional.”

MP, Mansour al-Timimi, of the Committee stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Kurdistan Region is related to the Central Government and in its financial and foreign policy, national security and deploying the Iraqi Army are necessary issues.”

“The other issues such as forming new provinces inside the regions are constitutional as I think,” he concluded.

Earlier, the Council of Ministers of Kurdistan Region held a meeting to announce Halabcha district as a province within Kurdistan Region.
