Integrity Committee: Anbar governor to be investigated over corruption involvement

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The parliament Integrity Committee revealed that “The Commission of Integrity has more than sixty files of corruption against Anbar governor, Qasim Mohamed al-Fahdawi.”

The Rappateur of the Committee, Khalid al-Alwani, said “More than 62 corruption files are obtained by the Commission of Integrity against Anbar governor,” noting “we did not talk about this issue to the media outlets in order not to be accused of promoting electoral propaganda.”

In response to the recent remarks of Fahdawi, MP of Anbar province within the iraqiya Slate said “Anbar governor accused MPs and politicians from Anbar of being liars, while stating to certain Sat channel, describing this speech as disgraceful.”

“We will investigate Fahdawi on corruption issues,” Alwani added.

“Anbar government had mentioned that the implementation rate of the projects in Anbar reached 90% for 2012,” he added stressing “This report is groundless where the implementation rate of the projects is only 50%.”
