Kurdistan Region needs military support from Britain, says Peshmerga Minister

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Peshmerga within the Kurdistani Regional Government, Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, emphasized “Kurdistan Region needs military support from Britain at the current stage.”

A statement by the Ministry received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Minister received the British Consul and the accompanied military delegation in Erbil on last Wednesday,” noting that “Both sides stressed consolidating the military relations between the two sides.”

“The Minister appreciated the role and the importance of the British support for Kurdistan Region,” the statement added.

“The delegation expressed its appreciation for the steps conducted by Kurdistan RegionG to achieve progress,” the statement concluded.
