Alewi criticizes Nijaifi’s visit accompanied by Local Officials of some provinces to Kurdistan Region

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Kareem Alewi, criticized the visit of the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, accompanied by Local Officials of some provinces to Kurdistan Region, assuring “The visit contradicts Nijaifi’s post as a Speaker which is supposed to be neutral.”

He stated to IraqiNews.com “The post of the Highest Authority in the country must be neutral and balanced away from the partisan or communal affiliations to be able to represents all the communities.”

“The nature and the aim behind the visit should be explained in the next parliament sessions to prove that it is away from the plots that aim at establishing a region on communal basis,” he concluded.
