Urgent Armed clashes erupt between security forces, terrorists in Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Three policemen and four gunmen were killed while 15 wanted individuals were arrested in armed clashes erupted on Tuesday between security forces and gunmen in 17 Tamuz district of western Mosul city. Security source reported to IraqiNews.com “The Iraqi Army / Sixth Brigade / Command of the Third Division and the Federal Police / the Command of the Emergency Regiments clashed with terrorists in 17 Tamuz area of western Mosul.” “The armed clashed resulted in killing three policemen and four terrorists so far,” the source added. “The security forces managed during the armed clashed to arrest (15) wanted individuals according to the article (4) of Anti- Terrorism law,” the source explained. “The security forces seized weapons cache that included light weapons, Improvised Explosive Devices and silenced handguns,” the source pointed out. “The armed clashes are still ongoing until now,” the source concluded.
