Nijaifi intends to hold meetings with Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi, revealed his intention “for holding many meetings with the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, in the near future.”

Nijaifi exclusively stated to IraqiNews.com, concerning the possibility to hold meetings with the Premier, that “This meeting will be followed by many practical meetings to discuss current circumstances in order to re-correct the path of the State that commits to Law and constitutional standards.’

Nijaifi described the meeting which was held with the Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, by saying “The meeting is a message to secure Iraqi people that there must by a protection for their lives and properties.”

The announcement of Nijaifi came after his shaking hands with the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, during the meeting which was held on bases of the invitation by the Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and attended by many political entities to unite forces against terrorism. \END\
