MoE announces improvement in producing electricity power

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Electricity announced equipping Baghdad with electricity power for 15 to 16 hours daily during the last days.”

The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Electricity, Musab al-Mudaris, reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The production capacity of electricity power reached (9,750 MW),” noting that “This rate of production is achieved for the first time in the history of the National Electricity Ministry since its foundation.”

“Both Kirkuk and Maysan are provided with electricity power all day long while Basra and Nineveh are provided with electricity for (16-18) hours daily and the rest of provinces ranged from (16-24 hours) daily,” the statement added.

“The required energy of electricity power is now about (13,500 MW) and it will increase during summer season,” he pointed out. \END\
