Urgent....Kurdistan Region persists on not delivering Baghdad crude oil despite its receiving for funds, Shahristani tells IraqiNews.com

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein al-Shahristani revealed Kurdistan Region’s insistence on not delivering its production of crude oil to the central government.

Shahristani told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) that “We agreed with the Kurdistan Region by end of 2012 that the Region delivers its production of crude oil which was 175000 barrel during 2012 till it reached 250000 barrel, in return of paying funds and the Region has received the funds but it did not deliver the oil where this is the third time we agree with the Region in this regard, yet it do not hand over the oil.”

“The Region still declines to deliver Baghdad any production of crude oil,” he added referring to a written agreement with Kurdistan approved by the Council of Minister, however Kurdistan did not hand over the oil.”
