Mass grave to be exhumed in Sulaimaniya

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Mass Graves Department within Ministry of Martyrs and Anfal Affairs of Kurdistan Region, announced that “It is planned to exhume a mass grave in an area associated to Sulaimaniya province of Kurdistan Region.”

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan PUK quoted source at the Mass Graves Dept as saying “Specialized teams will exhume on Wednesday a mass grave in Khalqani district of Sulaimaniya.”

“The mass grave will be opened under supervision of the Martyrs Ministry of Kurdistan, the Iraqi Ministry of Human Rights and officials from the Morgue Department of Baghdad and Kurdistan Region,” the source added.

“Exhuming this mass grave follows opening another mass grave in Erbil over the past few days,” the source concluded.
