Maysan arrests perpetrators of 15 Shaaban neighborhood bombings

Maysan (IraqiNews.com) Head of the High Security Commission in Maydan province, the governor Ali Dawai, announced arresting the perpetrators of the bombings that targeted the civilians in Ammara city, capital of Maysan in 15 Shaaban neighborhood.

Dawai said “The perpetrators of the terrorist attack that targeted 15 Shaaban neighborhood have been arrested,” noting “This terrorist operation was part of the terrorist operations for what is so called (State of South) associated to al-Qaeda.”

“The investigation is ongoing with them to know more details about these attacks’ circumstances,” he added.

15 Shaaban neighborhood in central Ammara city witnessed in last April explosions of two car bombs which targeted municipal workers at the municipal council in the district, where the explosions resulted in killing about seven persons and wounding eleven others along with the material damages the incident caused to the nearby buildings and shops.
