India invites Maliki to visit it

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Undersecretary for the Bilateral Relations of the Foreign Ministry, Nazar al-Khairallah, discussed with the Indian Ambassador to Iraq, the mutual relations and the possibility of facilitating granting the visas to the Indian businessmen to Iraq in order to develop the commercial relations.

A statement by the FM received by IraqiNews.com cited “The two sides discussed the mutual relations and the means of developing them in all fields where Khairalllah expressed his readiness to help in facilitating granting the visas to the Indian businessmen and the Indian investment in Iraq.”

“For his part, the Indian Ambassador expressed the readiness of the Indian companies to work in Iraq and increase the economic and commercial cooperation because India is considered as the second biggest importer of the Iraqi oil,” the statement added.

“The two sides have also discussed the arrangements for the visit of the Indian FM to Iraq and meeting the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and his Deputies in addition to the Parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, where the Ambassador submitted an invitation to Maliki to visit India and sign a Memorandum of Understanding there,” the statement concluded.
