Iranian Khosravi border inlet closed till further notice

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Commander of Security Affairs in the Iranian district, Kermanshah, Shahriar Heydari declared on Sunday that ”The Khosravi border inlet between Iraq and Iran was closed since, yesterday, last Saturday till further notice on the background of terrorist operations which targeted processions of Iranian pilgrims who were visiting holy shrines in Iraq.”

“The resolution of closing the border inlet was taken by senior officials on the background of terrorist explosion that took place on last Friday near Muqdadiya area (90 KM) to the north of Baghdad,” he added.

Heydari confirmed “The Iraqi Government is responsible for protecting Iranian pilgrims from such traumatic incidents.” \END\
