IS MP warns Maliki of discussing general budge with Kurdistan

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Abdullah Gharb of the Iraqiya Slate, warned the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, who is currently visiting Kurdistan Region, from ramifications of discussing the topic of the general budget with the Kurdish officials.

Maliki has arrived to Erbil this morning to hold the regular session of the Cabinet there and then to meet Barzani to discuss the pending issues.

Gharb told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Sunday “We do not object holding the federal Council of Ministers’ session in Erbil for this province is part of Iraq, but we are against forming commissions to activate the seventh points upon which the two sides have agreed during the Kurdistan Region’s delegation visit to Baghdad because the general budget was approved by the representatives of the people, consequently the activation of these points will lead to negative consequences when it will give billions of dollars to Kurdistan Region from the Iraqis’ share.”

“We wish Maliki will not compromise on account of the Iraqis’ rights for sake of partisan benefits,” he added.
