Diyala Governor: Kidnapping Kurdish citizens in Diyala aims at creating sedition

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Diyala, Omar al-Himieri, assured “The crime of kidnapping the Kurdish citizens in Himrieen area of northern Diyala aims at creating a blind sedition among the Iraqi communities.”

In a statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “Kidnapping the innocent citizens by unidentified gunmen and killing some of them in a savage way is an intended crime to create sedition among the citizens of the province.”

“We warned many times from the consequences of not protecting the main roads by the security forces,” he added.

He called “To unify the efforts to release the kidnapped citizens,” warning from “The sectarian voices that want to exploit this crime due to foreign agendas.”

Security source mentioned that four Kurdish citizens were killed while 18 others were kidnapped on last Monday.
