Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hoshyar Zebari, announced “There are no Iraqi forces fighting in Syria and Iraq is not involved in the current conflict in Syria.”

In a joint press conference with his Kuwaiti Counterpart, he said “Iraq does not participate in the fight in Syria and it does not support any Syrian side against another.”

“Iraq keeps all channels open with the Syrian Government and opposition,” he added.

“Iraq does not call for the fight in Syria and rejects sending any person to Syria to fight,” he concluded.
