MP reveals corrupt contractors associated to Maliki’s office

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Suhad al-Obaidi of the parliament Service & Reconstruction Committee revealed presence of corrupt contractors associated to the office of the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki.

Obaidi told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The commissions of the projects start from the Premier’s office, however when investigated Baghdad Mayorship over its flounder in implementing some projects which are supposed to be accomplished a year ago, we found that some contractors are associated to the Premier’s office including Isam al-Asadi and the most prominent project is that of Army Channel in Baghdad.”

“Moreover, many projects are implemented with poor technical specifications where the contractors’ goal is to gain large profits rather than to ensure high technical specifications,” she stressed.
