Zebari discusses preparations for relieving Iraq from 7th Chapter with US, British Ambassadors

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hoshyar Zebari, discussed with the US and the British Ambassadors the current talks and preparations in the UN Security Council over issuing a new resolution to relieve Iraq from the 7th Chapter after accomplishing the Iraqi commitments towards Kuwait.

A statement by the Ministry received by IraqiNews.com cited “Zebari met the two Ambassadors at the Divan of the Ministry.”

“Zebari discussed with them the current talks about relieving Iraq from the 7th Chapter,” the statement added.

“Zebari assured that the Government will expand its talks with the five permanent members and other members of the UNSC to support Iraq,” the statement concluded.
