Sadrist MP: New alliances in forming local governments to help in settling crisis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Riyadh al-Zayadi, of al-Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend stated that the political crisis will be settled due to the new alliances to form the local governments.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The Iraqi situation is difficult due to the political disputes resulted by foreign and interior sides and only the citizens suffer from the consequences,” noting that “If there is a real intention and vision by the politicians to settle the crisis, the situation will be completely different from the current one.”

“There are indicators over settling the political crisis at the current time due to the new alliances between the Iraqi National Alliance and the Kurdistani alliance in one hand and the Iraqiya Slate and the State of Law Coalition on the other hand in addition to the symbolic meeting held by the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, to gather the political sides,” he added.

“There is a new phase of relation between al-Ahrar bloc and the Citizen bloc in addition to joining the Iraqiya Slate to the alliance to form the local government of Baghdad which is a clear message to the Iraqis that there are no red lines among the political blocs, but local governments that will support the citizens,” he concluded.
