Hakim congratulates new Iranian President

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, congratulated the newly elected Iranian President, Hasan Rouhani, on Sunday.

A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com “Hakim expressed his hope for the mutual relations between the two countries to witness more progress to serve the interests of both countries.”

“Hakim assured his confidence over keeping on the leading role of the Islamic Republic in expanding the dialogues and the mutual cooperation among the countries to support freedom and justice,” the statement concluded.
