Diwaniya PC names street after Martyr Shihata

Diwaniya (IraqiNews.com) The Diwaniya Provincial Council announced naming one of the streets in Diwaniya city after the Egyptian Martyr (Mohammed Shihata) who was assassinated by Wahabi extremists in Egypt two days ago.

The Chairman of the PC, Hakim al-Khuzai, stated to IraqiNews.com on Thursday “Diwaniya PC held a meeting today and reached several resolutions among them naming of Diwaniya streets after Martyr Hasan Shihata and forming a special committee to observe the performance of private sector generators in Diwaniya province due to approach of Ramadan holy month.”

“The Council also reviewed the delayed rojects and studied the reasons behind this delay in order to accomplish these projects as soon as possible to serve the people of Diwaniya,” Khuzai added.

For his part, member of the PC Ayad al-Mayali assured that “The Council continues discussions over forming the committees within the PC,” pointing out that “Next week will witness naming all committees.”
