Government disturbs people’s livelihood in Anbar by blocking Trebil border inlet, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Khalid al-Alwani stressed on Saturday “The Government disturbed the citizens’ livelihoods through blocking Trebil border inlet in Anbar province.

The Ministries of Defense and Interior have decided on 29th of past April to block Trebil inlet in Anbar province for reasons pertaining to the Iraq’s internal affairs.”

Alwani said “The Iraqi government must open Trebil border inlet,” noting “The government should stop fighting the people’s livelihood on pretext of preventing the infiltration of the armed groups through this inlet, instead, they were supposed to block the border al-Waleed inlet with Syria as Syria is witnessing precarious security.”

“The situation at Trebil inlet is very difficult where the trucks divers stand at 40 km till they are allowed to enter the inlet after 10 to 15 days, he added confirming “Blocking this inlet clearly affected the economic situation in Baghdad as this border inlet does not only concern Anbar, but all the Iraqi provinces.”
