Shahristani, US Secretary of State discuss political updates in Arab arena

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Hussein al-Shahristani, hosted the American Secretary of State, Bill Burns, and his accompanying delegation at his office in Baghdad on Saturday.The Media Office of Shahristani reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Saturday ”The two sides discussed the political updates on regional level and the general situation on Arab arena.”According to the statement ”Shahristani confirmed that Iraq seeks building a developed economy in oil and petrochemical industry after relieving Iraq of UN Charter’s Seventh Chapter.”The International Security Council voted unanimously to relief Iraq of international sanctions imposed according to the UN Charter’s Seventh Chapter due to invading Kuwait by the former regime in 1990. \END\
