Cameron apologizes for IFT U-20 over post of British Independent Newspaper

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The British Prime Minister, David Cameron, apologized for the Iraqi Football Team U-20 over a post published by the British The Independent Newspaper over finishing the match against English with draw 2-2 in the World Cup U-20 in Turkey.

Earlier, the British The Independent Newspaper described the IFT U-20 as “War children.”

The Newspaper published a post where it stated “The Iraqi players are the war children of Iraq. In spite of all the disadvantages inflicted upon them, they still held their own against an England team that has been developed in the era of Premier League academies and all the so-called benefits that entails. It speaks volumes for Iraq’s players. And it says a hell of a lot about the state of English football.”

Cameron stated “The Iraqi players are a big generation that did its best for its country where it deserve to be respected rather than insulted.”
