Khalil criticizes opposition’s stance concerning extending Barzani’s term

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahma Khalil, of the Kurdistani Democratic Party headed by the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, criticized the stance of the Kurdish opposition regarding the decision of the Kurdistani parliament to extend Barzani’s term for two more years.

He stated to IraqiNews.com “The opposition’s stance comes due to their political bankruptcy because they have to respect the opinion of the majority in Kurdistan Region.”

“Barzani is not seeking posts rather he is seeking preserving the achievements of the Kurdish people and the democratic regime of Iraq,” he concluded.

Barzani is supposed to announce his stance regarding the decision of Kurdistan Region parliament over extending his term for two years.
