Ahrar bloc warns FC from accepting contestation over extending terms of three presidencies

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Al-Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend warned the Federal Court from accepting the contestation over extending the terms of the three presidencies.

MP, Mushriq Naji, of al-Ahrar bloc stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “All know that the State of Law Coalition are monopolizing authority and endorse the law drafts that serve them and contest those that they do not like,” noting that “The FC always accept the contestation of the SLC where we are not surprised over the attempts of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to keep his post.”

“Maliki reflected false image about the Islamists in authority where because of him the world considers the Muslims in authority are not adhering to the interests of their people,” he added.

He warned “The FC from accepting the contestation of the SLC over extending the terms of the three presidencies,” noting that “The decisions of the FC are considered a part of the disputes in the political process and we call it to be independent but the SLC rejects that by rejecting voting on the FC law draft.”
