Ousting Mursi lesson for Iraqis to avoid committing same mistake, says Nusaiyf

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Aliya Nusaiyf of the Hurra Iraqiya Slate stressed that “The ousting of the Egyptian President, Mohamed Mursi is a message to the Iraqis to beware of supporting any regime that adopts extreme political Islam in the coming elections, describing it as a lesson the Egyptians offered to the Iraqis to avoid committing the same mistake the Egyptians made.

Nusaiyf said “The Egyptian experience in electing an extreme Islamic regime, then its toppling by the people is considered to be a lesson the Egyptians extended to the Iraqis to avert supporting such organizations in the upcoming parliament elections.”

“Mursi’s regime proved its failure to have future programme and strategy with political and economic dimensions after it was a focus for problems in Egypt and the Middle East,” she emphasized.
