Head of Parliamentary HR Committee meets delegation of British Embassy

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Parlaimentary Human Rights Committee, Saleem al-Jobouri, and a delegation from the British Embassy discussed the means of keeping in contact with the institutions of the international community widely.

A statement by the Committee received by IraqiNews.com cited “Jobouri received the delegation in Baghdad where he confirmed that Human Rights are a local and international issue.”

He called “The international community to intensify the efforts to settle the issue of Human Rights through joint cooperation.”

He stressed “The importance of achieving political stability in Iraq for its impact on the situation of human rights.”

He expressed his concerns over “The increased violence against the minorities and other Iraqi communities.”
