Atroshi denies smuggling oil by Kurdistan Region

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Furhad al-Atroshi, of the Kurdistani Alliance criticized the accusations of the Deputy Premier, Hussein al-Shihristani, against Kurdistan Region over smuggling oil.

In a press conference held at the parliament, he said “We are surprised over Shihristani’s accusations especially after being failed in providing the services to the citizens,” noting that “Whenever he fails in providing services to the citizens, he creates a crisis.”

“We hoped Shihristani to settle the crisis of the electricity that is unsettled eight years ago,” he added, noting that “If Shihristani think that the oil companies that are working in are participating in smuggling the oil, why would he deal with them?”

“The oil is a wealth and it does not belong to a single person,” he concluded.
