Kurdistan Region Presidency calls IHEC to count votes of Kurdistan Region elections in electoral centers

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Presidency of Kurdistan Region called the Independent High Electoral Commission to conduct the counting process to the votes of the elections of Kurdistan Region in the electoral centers.

The spokesperson of the Kurdistan Region Presidency, Omaid Sabah, stated in a press statement “The IHEC decided to conduct the counting process outside the electoral centers as what was done in the previous elections by colleting the polls and transferring them to certain centers for the counting process.”

“The Presidency of Kurdistan Region according to the elections law No. 1 in 1992 and due to its adherence to have flexible elections calls the IHEC to conducting the counting process in the electoral centers as stated in this law,” he concluded.
