MoY&S emphasizes hosting Khaliji 22 in Basra

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Youth and Sport, Jasim Mohamed Jafar, ruled out transporting Khaliji 22 from the Sports City in Basra to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.The Minister reported in a press conference that was held at the Ministry that ”Iraq has answered all the technical inquires related to hosting senior guests, building roads and bridges, medical file, border inlets and the Visa issues,” noting that “The answers were delivered formally to the technical committee tasked to follow up Iraqi preparations to host Khaliji 22 in Basra.””Iraq will have a strict stance in case Iraq was prevented from hosting the Khaliji 22 championship, ” the statement added, noting that ”All the preparations and requirements for hosting the championship were accomplished by the Ministry of Youth and Sport, Iraqi Football Association and Basra Provincial Council.” .The statement of the Iraqi Minister of Youth and Sport came on bases of reports stipulate the intention of Saudi Arabia to submit a request to the technical committee to host Khaliji 22 in Jeddah city because of the deteriorated security situation in Iraq and the lack in preparations related to hosting Khaliji 22 in Basra. \END\
