MP Diani leaves parliament session

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Nahida al-Diani, of the Iraqiya Slate left the parliament session of Thursday due to not discussing the security situation in Diyala province.

In a press conference held at the parliament building, she said “The security situation in Diyala must be settled as soon as possible otherwise the consequences will be dangerous.”

“I left the parliament session protesting not discussing the security situation in Diyala province that requires a serious stance by the parliament.

“In the last two days the mosques are targeted in Diyala and the displaced citizens who returned home were killed,” she added, criticizing “The parliament chairmanship for not seriously dealing with this issue.”
