Akili emphasizes security to encourage investment

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aziz al-Akili, of the Citizen bloc emphasized the importance of sustaining security to encourage investors to erect projects that will eliminate unemployment.

He stated to IraqiNews.com “It is necessary to appoint the suitable person in the suitable place to provide security to start huge projects like what happened in Kurdistan Region.”

“Kurdistan Region has 17% as a share of the Federal Budget but it involves no poor people and this is achieved through honest officials,” he added.

“The current problem of Iraq represented by sectarianism and partisan interests is behind the financial and administrative corruption,” he concluded.
