Parliament demands to investigate statements of Deputy ambassador to KSA

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Foreign Affairs Parliamentary Committee announced its intention to submit a memorandum to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to investigate the statements of the deputy Iraqi Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Saudi Arabia (Maad al-Ubaidi) who attacked the Shiite of Iraq and their religious rituals.

Member of the Committee Asma al-Musawi stated to the Al Iraq News Agency “Such statements are rejected and the committee will submit a memorandum to demand the Foreign Ministry to investigate the reliability of these statements and realize the reasons behind it,” noting that “This official will be punished severely because he made use of the Iraqi Diplomacy to discuss stimulating and queer ideas.”

She added “If the statements were proved true, we might even sue the newspaper which published the article since the current stage witnesses sensitive and dangerous disputes among the sects of the Islamic Religion.”

Such statements are rejected from regular citizens as well as the governmental employees since it harms the national harmony among Iraqis, MP Musawi concluded.
