Kurdistani Alliance calls to endorse Official Languages law

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Kurdistani Alliance called the parliament to endorse the Official Languages law.

The spokesman of the KA, MP, Muayad al-Tayeb, stated in a press conference on Monday “We worked on amending this law through Cultural and Educational Parlaimentary Committees and we got the agreement of the political blocs on its draft.”

“Endorsing this law will make Iraq among the cultural diverse countries,” he added.

“There is no justification behind refusing to present this law for a vote,” he continued.

“Some sides wonder how we can write in several languages on the passports but we have 22 languages that are official,” he concluded.
