Political coalition calls Shahristani to quit

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of the Patriotic Sons of Iraq Coalition, Abbas al-Mohamedawi called the Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein al-Shahristani to resign from his post for his failure to run the electricity file.

This call coincides with similar calls by the Kurdistani Alliance amid news reporting Shahristani’s intention to reign, however the latter’s office denied these reports.

Mohamedawi said “After he failed to run the two Ministries of Oil and Electricity and address the electricity crisis, despite his wide authorities, Shahristani has to quit.”

“The average of oil exporting climbed towards unprecedented rates, but no importance was given to provide the Electricity Ministry with Kerosene to end the sufferings of the citizens following the few hours of electricity provision during the Summer,” he stressed.
