SLC MP rules out endorsement of general amnesty law

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Mahmoud al-Sayhoud of the State of Law Coalition ruled out the endorsement of the General Amnesty law and called to endorse the laws which serve the murderers and the criminals the maximum punishments.

Gunmen had attacked on last Sunday the Taji and Abu Ghraib prisons using IEDs, mortars and machine guns in an attempt to free the prisoners.

Sayhoud told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The ratification of the general amnesty law will free the criminals and destabilize the security situation,” noting “Iraq is witnessing daily bombings and murders, so we should not approve such law instead the country needs deterrent laws that punish the terrorists and the murderers.”
