KA supports Open-slate system in parliamentary elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Kurdistani Alliance supported the Open-slate system in holding the parliamentary elections and suggested to make Iraq in one single system.

In a press conference held at the parliament building, MP, Fuad Masoum, of the KA stated “The second reading for the elections law was conducted where the sides assured its importance t the electors,” stressing the necessity of “Making the next electoral system to help in sustaining stability in Iraq.”

“The KA supports the Open-slate system and holding the elections on time,” he added, assuring that “The KA suggests making Iraq in one single system.”

“If Iraq is considered as multiple systems, then 50 compensational seats must have been allocated to the communities according the votes that they get,” he added.

“Among the 50 seats, five will be for the Yazidi Community, three to the Faily Community, two for Baghdad province and one for Wasit province,” he concluded.
