Barzani urges Maliki to have serious action regarding security situation in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, urged the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to have a serious action regarding the security situation in Iraq.

A statement by the Kurdistani Regional Government received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Kurdistan RegionG strongly condemns the terrorist attacks in Iraq and express its condolence to the families of the victims and wishing the quickest recovery to the injuries.”

“The increase of the terrorist actions in Iraq especially in Ramadan holy month is a clear and dangerous indicator to the cruelty of the terrorists and that they do not respect any religion,” the statement added.

“We call the government and all the political sides to have a serious and quick action and Kurdistan Region is ready to help in sustaining security in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
