Baghdad OC conducts wide security operation in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad Operations Command declared carrying out raid-search operations that resulted in killing and arresting more than (100) wanted individuals in several areas of Baghdad.”Baghdad Operations Command reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The Commander General of Armed Forces, Premier Nouri al-Maliki, instructed the security forces within Baghdad Operations Command and the Anti-Terrorism Directorate in cooperation with the supportive forces of the Ministry of Defense to implement a security operation that aim at chasing the terrorist elements and Qaeda members.””The security operation resulted in killing nine Qaeda members and arresting (98) others according to the article (4) of Anti- Terrorism law while (91) suspects were arrested and (22) wanted individuals arrested according to various law articles,” the statement added.”The security operation resulted in dismantling three plants for car bombs and seized (35) vehicles as well as (25) motorbikes with forged documents in addition to confiscating amounts of weapons, explosive materials, Improvised Explosive Devices and Adhesive Explosive Devices,” the statement pointed out.”The security operation is still going on till achieving all its goals, demanding the citizens to cooperate with the security forces by informing them any information that may help arresting terrorist groups,” the statement concluded.
