Iraq obliges Syrian plane to land at Baghdad International Airport

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Ministry of Transportation obliged Syrian plane to land at Baghdad International Airport for inspection.

A statement by the Ministry cited “The Iraqi Airlines Authority obliged this morning, civil Syrian plane to land at Baghdad International Airport for inspection, and the plane was heading to Damascus.”

The concerned authorities inspected the plane and did not find any banned materials, then the plane was allowed to take off.

The Iraqi government announced more than once that its procedures to oblige Iranian and Syrian aircrafts passing through the Iraqi airspaces, to land for inspection come to monitor presence of weapons that might be transported to the Syrian regime forces which are engaging in a war against the opposition forces.
