Kurdish MP rules out civil war in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Mahmoud Othman of the Kurdistani Alliance called to adopt comprehensive treatment for the security situation.

Othman stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The deteriorating security situation needs comprehensive treatment, also the political situation should be reviewed thoroughly to protect the political process and the democracy.”

He ruled out emergence of civil war, but sectarian tensions may occur, especially in the areas with multiple sects, as he said.
