Citizen MP: Giving up pensions of Citizens MP not for electoral propaganda

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aziz al-Aqaily, of the Citizen bloc assured that the initiative of the Citizen MPs by giving up their pensions is for the interests of the Iraqi citizens and not for the electoral propaganda.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The Kurdistani Alliance and the Iraqiya Slate have different and personal stance over this issue, but the Citizen bloc has honestly given up the pensions of its MPs,” noting that “We assure giving up our pensions and that the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, has personally submitted the request over this issue to the parliament chairmanship.”
