Political analytic urges media to reveal corruption in Russian weapons deal

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The political analytic, Aboud al-Hamami, pointed out that “The corruption case that accompanied the Russian Weapons deal has been covered,” calling media to “start a campaign to reveal the details of this deal and punish corrupted officials.”

Speaking to the Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), Hamami said “The Iraqi Government did not give e proper justification over the corruption case that accompanied the Russian Armament deal,” noting that “the only action taken in this regard was dismissing the Iraqi Government’s Spokesperson Ali al-Dabbagh and some other military officers.”

“Moving out the veil that covers corruption in this case depends now on media outlets,” he concluded.
